American Apparel hunter w*Revlon Stunning

Today I have yet another American Aparel polish that has not been featured on my blog, Hunter. Hunter is exactly what the name suggests, a true hunter green. It is an amazing creme that is so effortless to apply. I don't think I can stress enough how amazing the formula of these American Apparel nail polishes are.
Since I have been a little glitter obsessed lately I added a coat of Revlon's Stunning.

Share your favorite AA's if you have any :)

American Apparel Dynasty w*LA Color Glitter

Hi ladies. I hope your weekend went better than mine did. My SO and I of four and a half years are taking some time apart :( This weekend is one of the most painful I have had to go through. All I can do is hope for the best.

I don't want to go on sobbing and bombard this post with negativity so moving on! I have been going through my stash and past blog posts so I can determine what polishes have not been featured on my blog yet. American Apparels Dynasty is one of them. I only have three AA polishes but I love the formula of every single one of them. They are so creamy, opaque, and one coat will do just the trick if you are in a bit of a rush.
Dynasty is a creamy light purple shade which I topped with a nameless L.A. Colors Color Craze glitter that I received as an extra in a swap!
I love the combo of these two polishes together!
Thanks for looking.

OPI Glitzerland

I don't know what it is but my manis have just not been coming out the way I would like them to! I think it is the lack of time, unfortunately! I don't really have time to think about what I want to wear and even worse is that I have been feeling a little uninspired! I received Glitzerland from a friend for Christmas. Every time we would go nail polish shopping we both would look at it and drool.

While it is a gorgeous gold shade, it wasn't the most flattering on my skin tone. The formula was thin, so three coats were needed but it wasn't a PitA to apply!
Since it didn't wow me like I hoped it would I added the star design from BM21!

NYX Ink Heart & Kleancolor Chunky Holo Teal

Well hello, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Mine has been pretty relaxing. Went out to Mexican on Friday night, made dinner (Tuscan Garlic Chicken) last night for my SO and was pretty productive today! One of the many things that got done were my nails of course. On Twitter I mentioned that I did a manicure combining NYX's Ink heart and Kleancolor's Chunky Teal Holo that was inspired by Like A Candy Shop. I highly recommend her blog. Her blogs and nubs are one of my favs!

NYX's Ink heart is a polish I always reach for. I used it for one of my Christmas Mani's and my Peacock mani. It is the perfect deep blue jelly. Anyway, I saw that Elsa topped off a nacy creme from Kleancolor with Chunky Holo Blue and instantly wanted to recreate it. I LOVE the end result! I haven't used my Chunky Holo nearly as much as I should but will after this I will definitely be utilizing it more!

What are your favorite Chunk Holo combinations?

My week in NOTDs: China Glaze It's Alive & Finger Paints Twisted

Sorry for my lack of posts this week but I wasn't fully satisfied with either of my NOTDs. I also went naked the beginning of the week. I think it was the stress of starting my second week at my new job and beginning my classes.

Ever since I got FP Twisted I wanted to wear it with black and red so I killed 2 birds with one stone and did an alternating mani. I used Wet n' Wild's Black Creme and China Glaze Winter Berry, then topped it off with 2 coats of FP Twisted
THEEEN I put on this beautiful green glitter that I skipped out on when it first came out. This is one of China Glaze's polished from their halloween collection - It's Alive. I had been wanting it and luckily found it at a local beauty supply shop on clearance and only just got to wearing it. The formula of this was a little lumpy for me but it's probably just because it's a bit old and could have used some thinner before I applied it.
That was my quick wrap up for the week. I am off to the shelter, hopefully adopting a dog very soon!

Parlez Vous OPI & a small haul

This was a polish I searched to swap for because I thought it looked great on everybody else. I am unsure about how I feel about it on my skintone. Don't get me wrong this is a really pretty color, I am just not sure it's right for me. I think it looks a lot dustier on me than it does on others. The fomula was nice, a little on the thick side but it wasn't too hard to deal with.
I ended up putting a stamp on it using China Glaze's IDK. The number of the plate escapes me but if anyone asks I can get the number for you. It was very subtle but I like it that way :)

Also a week or two ago I was on MUA from my phone and saw all of tis talk about Lynderellas being back up on her site. By the time I got to ordering the only one that was still in stock was this gorgeous green glitter, I Can Afford It. I didn't want to pass it up so I put it in my cart along with another Glitter Gal I had my eye on!

OPI DS Extravagance

Hey girls. I have a really quick post before I go to bed! I felt like wearing another holo again today so I put on a polish I wasn't crazy about the first time. OPI's DS Extravagance is obviously one of their Designer Series polishes. While many of the other DS shades are hard to get a hold of this one has been at my Ulta for a while so check yours out if you don't already have it!

Extravagance is a berry/wine glittery very subtle scattered holographic polish.
The application and clean up of this was super easy! It is a pretty opaque polish and looked amazing after 2 coats. I am definitely loving this the second time around! The only disappointment is that it chipped pretty quickly, but all holos do so I am not holding that against it!

Zoya Yara

Oh, Sunday. I will never have to work another Sunday again and I am thrilled. I am starting a new job at a Doctors office tomorrow. I used to work in retail but really missed having the weekends to myself. Tomorrow is my first day and I am really excited about it. Have to decide whether I want to keep this stunner of a nail polish on for my first day.

Even with the zoya promo, I picked Yara up at Ulta yesterday because I had a $3 off $10 coupon and couldn't for the life of me decide what other zoya I could have ordered. So either way I would have paid about the same for shipping.
One of my favorite MUAers posted this the other night and have since been hooked. It is much darker on me than it is on her but it is still a gorgeous green.

Zoya Yara is a really pretty olive, army green with golden shimmers in it. Unfortunately, the shimmers are not as apparent on the nail as they are in the bottle. Yara's formula is spot on. It went on so smoothly and it might be one of the creamiest polished I own. I found it to be really opaque as well.

Some sort of Holo...

Over the summer I ordered two China Glaze Kaleidoscope polishes from a blog sale. I purchased He's Going in Circles and Kaleidoscope Him Out. The seller had two versions of Kaleidoscope, a blue and a periwinkle kind of shade. I tried to research if anyone else had come across a dud, or different version of this polish. I found diddly squat but decided to order it anyway since it wasn't expensive. I also am wondering if it's a franken that she just tried to pass off as a real ChG - pretty shitty on her part but it's too late to do anything about it now and it is still a really pretty polish.

Regardless I think it is a very pretty polish and actually pretty unique. This is three coats. Two would have been sufficient but I always do 3 coats of holos for extra umph!

Indoor Flash

Outdoor No Flash

I was going to do a stamp over this but was going through Chloe's Nails blog and came across her checkered tutorial and decided to give it a go!

I used China Glaze's Secret Periwinkle. I love the combo!

Finger Paints Special Effect Twisted

My first nail polish purchase of the year was Finger Paints Twisted!
It was the only one I bought from the collection because I could live without the others haha.
I am really trying to save because this years Spring collections look amazing. Between ChG's Hunger Games, OPI's Holland, and Zoya's True and Fleck Collection my collection is going to grow significantly! And I hate to say this but I feel flakies are going to fade out just like the crack did when every brand started to create their own.

Anyway I am going to enjoy my flakies while I still can! This is Twisted over OPI's Funky Donkey. For some reason I have trouble capturing the greatness of flakies, even out in the sun.
These are the best images I could get of it.
Twisted was the most interesting to me IMO. It has multiple flecks in it, blues, greens, red, orange. It's just beautiful. I wanted to be different and stay away from applying it over black but I do realize now I need to apply it over a much deeper shade in order for all of the pretty colors to show through.

Did you purchase any of the flakies!?

Thanks for looking <3

Ruffian Manicure

Happy New Year to all of my followers! I have not even been blogging a year but I am very thankful for all of you who look, follow, comment, etc. It means a lot to me as this is something I love to do! So thank you all so so much <3

When it comes to trends, I tend to really fall in love with them after all the hype is gone. IDK why, it just happens that way lol. When the ruffian manicure first became popular and I kind of felt, 'meh' about it. While browsing pinterest the other day I saw a photo of a ruffian and had a strong urge to do one!

For a first appempt I think it came out pretty decent. My right hand I did free hand. But for my left hand showed below. I outlined the black using the Sally Hansen Black nail art ben and then filled in in black afterwards.
I used Orly's Luxe and Wet n' Wild's Black Creme

I meant to matte it but it didn't last as long as I would have liked it to thanks to work!

Thank you for looking <3 Happy New year!
