China Glaze Optical Illusion

I haven't work a glitter on it's own in FOREVER! China Glaze's Optical Illusion from their Prism Collection is an aqua / green glitter packed with silver, gold, pink, and orange glitters. This is my only polish from the Prism collection but I definitely am craving more. Optical Illusion was so easy to apply - it wasn't clumpy like glitters can be. Three thin layers is plenty to get a full coverage on your nails.
Definitely A++ Glitters

Zoya Yara

Oh, Sunday. I will never have to work another Sunday again and I am thrilled. I am starting a new job at a Doctors office tomorrow. I used to work in retail but really missed having the weekends to myself. Tomorrow is my first day and I am really excited about it. Have to decide whether I want to keep this stunner of a nail polish on for my first day.

Even with the zoya promo, I picked Yara up at Ulta yesterday because I had a $3 off $10 coupon and couldn't for the life of me decide what other zoya I could have ordered. So either way I would have paid about the same for shipping.
One of my favorite MUAers posted this the other night and have since been hooked. It is much darker on me than it is on her but it is still a gorgeous green.

Zoya Yara is a really pretty olive, army green with golden shimmers in it. Unfortunately, the shimmers are not as apparent on the nail as they are in the bottle. Yara's formula is spot on. It went on so smoothly and it might be one of the creamiest polished I own. I found it to be really opaque as well.

Holo Swatches Part 1: Sally Hansen Prism & NFU OH

I went to the beach a few times last week and every time I wore a holo :)
I know lots of nail board readers and bloggers obsess over them
but they really are mesmerizing to look at!

First up is Sally Hansen's Prism - Pink Rose Diamond. I received this in a swap and
was surprised when I got it in the mail. The swatches I had seen on line were a brighter
pink. I researched in and it seems as though there were 2 versions. I got a very light
pink prism - beautiful!

indoor flash:
outdoor, sunlight:
This was 2 coats and although I only wore it on my beach day it didn't chip!

Next up is Nfu - Oh's #66, a really pretty light green linear.
The holo is really intense, even more so than the OMG collection polishes
The application is really bothersome though. The dragging is insane and almost impossible to avoid. At first I thought it was becuase my base coat wasn't dry enough so I waited until I continued painting my nails. But even after that I had so many bald patches.
I used 3 coats to get an even application.

OPI Jade is the New Black

Whenever I decide I like a shade it is usually well past when it was first released.
Jade is the New Black is just one example of that! I have seen so many swatches of this but only
recently wanted it pretty badly. I picked it up when Ulta as doing their BOGO sale.
It truly is a gorgeous green! The formula was great. Super creamy and opaque.
I can't wait to wear it on my toes this summer.

Pirates of the Caribbean Release NOTD!

So, I was not WOWED by the OPI POTC collection when it first came out, as so many collections
seem to unimpress me these days, but as time goes on I grow to love them! My sister ended up buying the mini set from Ulta the other day. When I was going back and forth between what I wanted to wear on my nails today I decided what they hey, and tried one of the minis!

I chose Skull and Glossbones and added some polka dots to it :)

The application of this was really good. It went on smooth and was perfect in 2 coats.

I saw this polka dot design on tumblr but it did not have a water mark so I do not know who it belongs to!

I did the dots with the back of a sewing needle and my dotting tool.

I used ChG For Audrey and Sally Hansen Insta Dry in Jade Jump
