6 Essential Nail Products

Hi girls. I though I would do a post on my favorite products to get a perfect manicure.

I'll begin with cuticle care. I despise cutting my cuticles so I use a gel remover. My favorite is the Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle remover.

After I apply my treatment (I use Gelous nail Gel which I forgot to include in the photo :o) I apply Orly Bonder. It's a sticky base and really helps your manicures last longer
Three and four go hand in hand. My favorite acetone to clean up my manis with is the beauty secrets acetone which can be found at Sally's Beauty Supply stores.
#5, my favorite top coat, probably needs to further introduction  or explanation - Seche Vite. Not only does SV dry quickly but it give the nails a super glossy shine.
My final essential nail product is Biotin. Biotin is a B vitamin that helps with hair and nail growth. Biotin is also good for those with brittle nails.
What are you favorite nail care products?

P.S. I started a NicNack's Beauty Box blog so check in out!

NYX Manhattan + Red Angel Stamping Plates Review

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week and are looking foward to the weekend. I know I am :)

A couple weeks ago I received the 21 piece Red Angel plates from Amazon. These are another affordable bundle set of great image stamping plates floating around the nail blogging community. The Red Angel Stamping plates can be purchased on Amazon for 12.99.

My biggest concern when it come to stamping plates is the size of the images, for full nail designs especially. I own the first Bundle Monster kit and the images were way to small for my nails. My nails are a bit on the wide side. The Red Angel dimensions are very comparable to the Konad and 2nd and 3rd BM sets.

I am really pleased with the Red Angel Plates. They don't contain the same ol' same ol' images that you see on most of the sets. They have some unique designs. Here is one that I have already tried out:

I stamped Orly Luze over my favorite fall polish: NYC Manhattan

I look forward to using these and sharing the RA plate designs with you!

Nail Venterous Floam

Happy Labour Day weekend. How nice is it to have an extended weekend?!
Today I have on Floam by Nail Venturous. This is an awesome 'glitter' polish. The green blue and yellow specks are matte so it gives the polish a really cool effect.
I used two coats of Floam over Orly's Bailamous.
IMO it works perfectly with Floam.

Ruffian Manicure

Happy New Year to all of my followers! I have not even been blogging a year but I am very thankful for all of you who look, follow, comment, etc. It means a lot to me as this is something I love to do! So thank you all so so much <3

When it comes to trends, I tend to really fall in love with them after all the hype is gone. IDK why, it just happens that way lol. When the ruffian manicure first became popular and I kind of felt, 'meh' about it. While browsing pinterest the other day I saw a photo of a ruffian and had a strong urge to do one!

For a first appempt I think it came out pretty decent. My right hand I did free hand. But for my left hand showed below. I outlined the black using the Sally Hansen Black nail art ben and then filled in in black afterwards.
I used Orly's Luxe and Wet n' Wild's Black Creme

I meant to matte it but it didn't last as long as I would have liked it to thanks to work!

Thank you for looking <3 Happy New year!

Orly Androgynie

So...it's December and while this is my favorite month it scares the hell out of me
how time has gone by. I went to Disney for last New Year and I feel like I just got back!

Anyway! the good news is my semester is over on the 16th so I will have more time
to devote to my blog.

Today I have an Orly from their Holiday Soiree collection. I only picked up one because 2 seemed similar to OPI's It's My Year so I passed and the only one I really wanted was Androgynie.
Despite some of the negative things I read about this I still wanted it and I actually didn't
have most of the problems others had. Many said it was on the sheer side and had to use three coats but this is only two. The only reason I would have added a third was to get more of the big hex glitters. They do tend to gravitate toward the bottom.
Other than that issue I really love this polish!

Orly Bailamos

There are only 3 weeks until I start classes up again and I am not ready
to start wearing vampy fall colors. Not that the seasons have much of an affect on
what I choose to wear, but still - it is kind of sad to think about summer ending.

Today I have a lovely tropical blue shade for you all - Orly Bailamos.
This is an aqua teal with shimmer.
This is only my 2nd Orly purchase! But the formula of this is great.
It looked perfect in 2 coats - opaque and a smooth application.
This reminds me of what the water of tropical islands look like :)

Happy Hump Day!

My First Orly!

It is true. Up until the end of May, I had never owned an Orly! I bought two before I went on my low buy.
I purchased Bailamos and Green with Envy.

Unfortunately, Green with Envy is very much like China Glaze's Four Leaf Clover when if comes to photographing the shade.
In real like it is MUCH darker. In the photo's it looks more like Essie's T&C

A Tiny Haul + 2 Untried Swatches

The past few months on MUA different users have been in charge of a monthly 'no buy/low buy.'
I have been trying to save money as best I can so I decided this might be a good idea! I also purchased 5th row tickets to the HONDA CIVIC TOUR with BLINK 182 & MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - my all time FAVORITE band. so that sent me back a few bucks :)
I did do a small Haul on May 30 to hold me over though ;) I had a 15% of coupon to Sally's that expired June 1 so I had to use it!

I ended up with 2 new Orly's (my first one's) and ChG Secret Periwinkle. I had never seen it in the permanent display before so I snatched it up.
I also bought a Confetti and Milani Neon from CVS prior :)

As part of the 'no buy/lo buy' you have to shop your stash and use your untrieds! If you use 5% of your untried you can purchase 1 polish!

So far I have tried:
Funky Fingers Screaming Fuschia with Milani Jewel FX on top

and Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Fuschia Flace

I don't wear a lot of pink so I though I should start with 2 untried pinks!
