China Glaze High Hopes Funky French

Happy Hump Day! Hope your week is going well so far.
Before I get into my NOTD I just want to welcome
and thank all of my followers!
It really means a lot that you guys take the time to look at my posts so I really
want to get to know you. Don't be strangers :) Introduce yourselves, say hey,
leave a link to your blog in the comments.

Ok ok, onto the post :)

Thequeeneileen did a french manicure tutorial with For Audrey and
I fell in love with it!
I changed it up slightly and am really pleased with it :)
I used China Glaze's High Hopes from the Up and Away Collection for the tips and then just a random striper from The Icing
It was really easy to do. I got tons of compliments on it at work :)

NOTD: Zoya Savita

Today's NOTD is a matte, my only one!
The first time I tried this I didn't even get around to putting on a second coat
before deciding I hated mattes. Today I decided I should give it one more
shot before getting rid of it.

(CLICK FOR BIGGER IMAGE)
I am really glad I gave it a second chance. Its a really pretty deep purple with
a little pink shimmers GAW-GEOUS
The pink was even more apparent (in real life) with a top coat.

Now I am thinking of ordering some of the new summer mattes!

Happy Easter NAILARToftheday

I really wanted to get this post up earlier but there was no time!
Busy day, lots of food :) Visited cousins, and godparents for Easter breakfast and dinner.
I hope you all had a great Easter for those that celebrate.

I was so inspired by all of the Easter manis on MUA I wanted to do my own!
Here's a breakdown
Thumb: OPI Parlez Vous OPI, Color club Alabaster, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Fuchsia Flare, SH Inta Dri Jade Jump
Index Finger: Fuchsia Flare, SH Insta Dri Blue Away, Zoya Pippa
Middle Finger: ALL COLORS LISTED ABOVE
Ring Finger: Jade Jump, CC Alabaster, Fuschia Flare, Blue Away
Pinky: SH Blue Away, Pippa
This was a lot of fun to do !! I wish Easter lasted more than one day so I could keep it on longer haha.

NOTD: China Glaze White Cap

I went through about 4 mani's in 2 days this past weekend. I was unsatisfied with EVERYTHING I came up with.
I finally ended up with something pretty simple.

I did 2 coats of Color Club's Alabaster
and 2 coats of China Glaze White Cap
White Cap is one of my favorite nail polishes. It looks great over pretty much ANY color.
Someone mentioned it looks really pretty over plain white so I decided to try it!

Unfortunately, it was a gloomy day so I couldn't take pics outside to
capture more of the gold flecks that show!
What are your thoughts on White Cap?

Shredded Tape Mani

Last week I received a few Avon polishes. Since my blog thus far has consisted of mostly
blue I figured I would share a green with you guys!
This is Electric Green from Avon. This is my first polish from Avon but I have heard
this particular one is a bit thinner than the other polishes.
This is 2 coats, the 2nd one a bit thicker to make it more opaque.

It is a really nice bright green with yellow undertones - GREAT for summer

I also bought one of the new Petite Color Fever polishes a couple of weeks ago and thought
it would look great over Electric Green! Daze is a bright, almost lime green with pretty glitters in it!
This is 2 coats of Daze over Electric Green
Finally, I finalized the mani with a tape design created by the ever so creative Chloe!
I usually can never stay satisfied with a polish for more than 1-2 days so I thought
this was a good way to change it up everyday!

NOTzd: Essie Coat Azure

I went through my untrieds today and picked Essie's coat Azure.
Blue is my favorite color to wear, a majority of posts on my blog so far
have been blue. I need to incorporate more variety but I just can't help it lol.
I thought this was a good choice too since it is still Autism Awareness month!
Coat Azure is a really pretty light to medium blue with pretty shimmers!
For some reason me and Essie don't get along! The brush is way too small for
my liking and I found this formula a little thick. Actually, if your in a rush this could probably
be a really nice one coater!
I was unsure about picking this up. I had seen a lot of swatches on blogs and MUA and each time I saw it, it looked different. Im glad I got it though - It's gorgeous!
I added a BM later on
Plate: BM16
Stamped w* SH Insta Dri in Blue Away
Dots: Zoya Pippa

Pink Fauxnad Fun

The past couple of days I have been browsing tumblrs dedicated
to nail art.
There is such amazing creativity on tumblr its unbelievable
Needless to say, I was totally inspired & replicated a fauxnad
mani:
On my pinky I used one of the new Sally Hansen Insta-Dries in Rose Rush. I stamped it with BM19. On my ring finger I used OPI's Show It and Glow It (borrowed from a darling friend). I painted my middle finger Flawless by Essie and stamped it with BM17
On my index finger I used OPI's I Think in Pink and stamped it with BM02 using Konad white and Sally Hansen Rose Rush. I used American Apparel's Dynasty on my thumb and 2 images from BM17.

Blue Nails for Autism Awareness

The other day on twitter @ColourCoated (check out her blog here)
asked if anyone was interested in participating in a Blue Nails for Autism Awareness project.
April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day

Everyone is encouraged to wear blue in order to raise awareness, encourage early diagnosis and early intervention and to celebrate the lives of those that we care about who have autism.

A family friend of mine has a 6 year old boy with autism, and with my love for blue nail polish
I had to participate!
Throughout the month of April I will do a series of Blue Nails for Autism Awareness month.

For my first Blue mani I have incorporated China Glaze's For Audrey, a very pale blue.
I was inspired to do this mani after Steph's Closet St. Patrick's Day tutorial
This is my first attempt at a plaid mani and while it took a while, I think
it came out decent. Mind you, photographed is my left hand & unlike many of you
that is my dominant hand!
I was shocked my lines came out as straight as they did considering this was done with my right hand!

Here are the products I used. Some of the stripes were done with Sally Hansen's Nail
Art Pen. Without this baby the mani probably would have been a disaster!
Most of the hotizontal lines were done with a striper from The Icing.
